Saturday May 31: Maifest in Lincoln Square, Chicago. Check the weekly blast for more details.
Saturday June 14: Golf and beer at Petrifying Springs golf course and beer garden. I will send out an email to see who might be interested in golfing and I will reserve tee times. If you don't golf then just go to the beer garden and enjoy the company of your fellow ski club members. You can also hike and bike through the park.
Saturday June 21: Meet at Karen's to bike to Independence Grove and visit the beer garden there. I think I see a theme with our outings! More details to follow.
Wednesday June 25: Enjoy some friendly mini-golf competition at Par-King mini-golf in Lincolnshire. More details to follow.
Wednesday July 2: Meeting at El Barrio
Saturday July 12: Pistakee Lake fireworks at Carols, starting at 7 pm.
There are also summer evening concerts going on in various places that we can plan on attending.

Hotel Montarto is located next to the Baqueria-Beret ski slopes. It has an SPA, gym and transfer to slopes for all clients. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The hotel's spa is available for a fee and offers a hot tub, sauna and various massage treatments. The indoor pool and gym can be used free of charge. The La Perdiu Blanca restaurant prepares various international dishes. The La Borda Lobato restaurant prepares avant-garde mountain-style cuisine. There is also a pub and a nice bar.

WHAT IS CMSC?
The Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council (CMSC) primary goal is to promote and support our member clubs in their effort to further the interest in skiing, snow boarding and year round activities - social activities.
CMSC is a not for profit organization with 70 member clubs throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and neighboring states, representing over 10,000 skiers and snowboarders.

And winter hiking, snowshoeing, X-C skiing in cold weather months.

Advice for those organizing events:
If you volunteered to organize & run an event…THANK YOU!! Your club appreciates you taking the time to volunteer and contribute your ideas. Now…the next step is to contact our PREZ, Gina DeJoseph, who will help PROMOTE your trip/event in the club weekly updates, which communicates our event to the club. Our PREZ, and/or any of our board members are more than willing to help you and provide you with suggestions on how to sell the event. If you need help designing a flyer, contact Gina and/or any of the board members to assist you. Our co-VP's - Betty & Tari, coordinate all our Social events and non-ski trips.
